Spring is almost here. I love the spring-summer time, especially here in California because it doesn't get maddening hot and humid like it does in Delhi or Mumbai. Also, it's my favourite time because we can finally shed those layers of clothes and let the skin breatheš. Oh and not to forget, take the feet out of heavy, warm shoes and slip them into some flip-flops or sexy strap(y) sandals.
The other day, we were at Union Square (San Francisco) when I spotted a Lush store and decided to check it out. For those who don't know what Lush is, it's a cosmetics brand - the each cosmetic is handmade and 100% vegetarian. I was looking for some foot care products now that it's time to take the feet out of the dusted autumn/winter wear. That's when a sales assistant suggested that I try the Pumice Power. At $4.5 for a tear-shaped bar that would fit comfortably in your palm, this one packs quite a punch.

The Pumice Power, as the name suggests is made with pumice powder and organic sweet orange oils. That's why it smells like real oranges (heavenly) and feels like a pumice stone. I decided to give it a try and used it on my feet in the shower. It's so good that I have been using it daily since my first try!
Now, of course, anyone who'd read 'pumice' would think that just like a pumice stone, this one too would be too harsh on the feet to be used daily. But, believe me, the Lush Pumice Power helps exfoliate and cleanse the skin and in turn, leaves the feet feeling soft. And, no scratches at all!
Ingredients (as mentioned on the website) - Pumice Powder, Water, Rapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Glycerine, Sorbitol, Fragrance, Organic Sweet Orange Oil, etc.
How to use - It's easy to use, it's scrubby but also soapy. All you've got to do is just like a soap, apply it on your feet and rub the feet in simple motion. When rubbed on wet feet, it feels a grainy paste that doesn't form too much lather. You can either use it on your feet in the shower or just soak the feet in warm water for some time and rub them with Pumice Power. What I liked in terms of usage is that unlike soap, when wet, this one doesn't come out in excess on your feet or start to dissolve.
How does it work - The pumice powder works on the skin, exfoliating it and removing any dead skin and the orange oils help tone the skin and make it glow. Also, after cleaning with the Pumice Power, the feet doesn't feel too dry, maybe owing to the coconut oil that is in the product. In fact, my feet became softer and looked better.
My experience - My feet felt soft, the very first time I used it. I could see the difference in just one wash. I look for products that are hassle-free and are easy for a DIY and this one perfectly fits into that category. The feet didn't scratchy at all and after a week of use, I can actually see that my feet have started to glow and have become even toned.

Am I going to buy it again? I will, definitely. For me, it's a 5 on 5 for this product from Lush.I absolutely loved the product and I am going to continue to use it. In fact, I am going to buy other products that I haven't tried yet from Lush. I would recommend investing in the budget-friendly Pumice Power and it will give you the desired results!
