I love this time of the year what with the fall descending upon us, the slight chill in the air, and all the festivities! Oh, yes, that is my favorite part. In fact, it is that time of the year when we all get to dress our best for all the festivals. Luckily for me, as an expat in the US, I get to participate not only in our own festivals but also all the American festivities! It starts with Navratri, Durga Puja, KarwaChauth, Diwali, Halloween, Thanksgiving and so on! Of course, hair is a huge part of dressing up and can make or break any look. Everyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with my hair and how much I love hair care products. So what really is this snail collection? Well, the Snail essence is a very popular anti-aging Korean beauty secret that Kenra Professional has brought to hair. Here's what I thought about the range.

Kenra Platinum Snail Anti-Aging Shampoo and Conditioner -

You know the smell from a good hair spa? Yes, that's the first thing I noticed when I used the Kenra Platinum Snail Anti-Aging Shampoo. The incredible smell! It instantly makes you feel like you are sitting at a very fancy hair salon and getting your hair pampered.

As per the brand's promise, the Snail anti-aging shampoo & conditioner fight all the ten signs of aging, restore the hair's shine and moisture and leave the hair feeling youthful, soft and radiant. Both the shampoo and conditioner deliver on that promise! I have thick, long hair and yet, I needed only a small amount of the shampoo to get enough lather and get a good hair wash. I took only a quarter-sized amount of the conditioner to work on my ends too.

I really loved how my hair felt and smelt later and even with an oily scalp and dry ends, I could feel my hair turn softer and shinier in a single wash! Another plus point for me is that the shampoo and conditioner are sulfate and paraben free. My hair didn't feel dry after washing, in fact, my hair went without another wash for three days! That in itself is, actually, a record because I have an oily scalp and need to wash my hair or use a dry shampoo every second day.

Kenra Platinum Snail CC Creme -

Again, what a delicious smell. It's like your hair continues to smell so good and fresh for the next couple of days which I really love! I applied this corrective creme to damp hair and though my hair felt smoother thanks to the shampoo and the conditioner, this creme added a nice bounce and shine to the hair.

As per the brand, this creme helps fight all 10 signs of aging hair and even if the creme doesn't provide any styling hold, it does help restore the youth in hair. Again, formulated without sulfates and parabens which is one of the most important factors for me.

The creme can be used over damp or dry hair along the length. The one thing I am always skeptical about with hair cremes is that they may make my hair feel sticky. But with Kenra Platinum Snail CC Creme, that wasn't the case at all. I needed a very small amount to cover my hair and I was good to go. Just avoid putting it too close to the scalp.

Kenra Shaping Spray 21-

This shaping spray provides extra hold to the hair. Now, I have very straight hair which means it is absolutely necessary for me to use a styling spray to hold any hairstyle. My complaint with all styling sprays so far has been that they make my hair too dry. Not with this one! It is alcohol-free which means it has maximum moisture retention!

Now, let's talk about what the spray claims to do which is extra firm hold and shine. I tried soft curls on my hair and used this spray to hold them. The curls stayed on for two days straight and my hair looked so glossy and shinny! Of course, I didn't have to worry about my hair turning dry too! This spray has become my staple go-to-styling product and I am definite that I am going to be using it for a very long time! Use it on damp hair for maximum hold and work time.

Kenra Platinum Heat Block -

I don't think it is possible to style your hair without putting it through heat - dryers, straighteners, curling rod. That means we are putting our hair through so much. A good heat protectant takes away my worry of ruining my hair with all the heat. Here is where the Platinum Heat Block from Kenra comes into the picture.

This spray is enriched with bee propolis which provides maximum heat protection and keeps the hair healthy and hydrated. What amazed me the most was that it provides protection upto 450℉! It also provides great hold so you don't have to use ten different products on your hair when styling it when you are in a hurry! All you need is this heat block spray and you can go on to style your hair the way you want.
